I have an X-Box 360 and my brother has the games Halo 3 and Test Drive: Unlimited. I’ve tried to find games that I would like to play, but there are none. Why don’t any game companys make good girls games for X-Box? I was guessing because X-Box is a guy’s system, unlike Nintendo systems like the GameCube or Wii.
Well, I found some games I would like to play, like Guitar Hero or Rock Band, but my mom doesn’t want to buy them. For these reasons:
Rock Band:
“Too expensive.”
Guitar Hero:
“Those aren’t good songs.”

Chances are, your right. The Xbox is a male made system. Do not get me wrong, I’m sure there were some girls working on the 360 project as well. But in general it is probably male ideas. I would recommend sending a letter or something.

Nintendo focuses on a broader market. The Wii is marketed as a family system, and the DS is suitable for just about anyone.
In contrast, the PS2, PSP, and 360 are aimed at a 16-30 year old male demographic, who are the most likely to go for the most badass shooters.
It’s a matter of marketing.

What?! Your mom thinks that Guitar Hero songs aren’t good?! Blasphemous, I say! They are great. Though GH3′s songlist isn’t my favorite. Anyway… Girls games for Xbox 360. 360, I believe caters more to the first-person-shooter fan. You’ll have a tough time finding girls games on the 360. Unfortunately(or fortunately, however you see it), I don’t have a 360. And so, I don’t really know their gamelist. Sorry. Tell your mom that Guitar Hero is AWESOME. No matter what songs there are, it’s always fun.

Honestly it depends on the girl. I have a few female friends who stood in line for Halo 3 and then took it home to excited boyfriends only to tell them “go make me a samage I stood in line I got the next 3 hours!” All games don’t appeal to everyone in a sex is my point personally I am a guy jonesing for spore.

Back in the 1990′s there were alot of girls that complained about games made for girls because they were stereotypical (ie. Barbie, My Little Pony, etc). On top of that girls were a very small part of the video game market so little money was spent on these games, and they in turn were pretty bad. Since then most games companies have just focused on making good games and appealing to teenagers & young adults rather than girls vs boys.
I have the Xbox360 and my wife enjoys playing some games. She likes Kameo, Viva Pinata, Tomb Raider, Scene It!, and several of the arcade games.
Kameo, Viva, & Tomb Raider can be had for cheap.
Scene It! is $60 but its a game the entire family can play and have fun with. Even my 73 year old grandmother had a blast with it.
Most arcade games cost only $5-10.
I hope you’ll give some of these a shot and you like them.
