My son’s getting an Xbox for Christmas this year, but I can’t quite afford the console AND the games. I’m hoping to find some good quality, affordable used games online.

Definatly use ebay auctions its the cheapest place to get games, sometimes you can get the games for practically a steal if your lucky in the auction. And unlike stores they have every game for sale. They also have the option of buy it now. Go to ebay.com
You could also try gamefly.com for a small monthly price they allow you to rent 1 or 2 games in the mail. Anytime during the month you can send back 1 game in the return envelope they include you dont have to pay postage and you will recieve your next game on your list within a few days.
